About farmer and farm:

Kagumoini Factory is one of 5 factories operated by Mugaga Farmers’ Cooperative Society.

Varieties for this lot cultivated on small plots between 1650 and 1800 masl.

Smallholder farmers deliver coffee cherries from the surrounding area.

Process: washed (fully washed)

Coffee cherries are selectively handpicked and then pulped.

Then dry fermented for 16 to 23 hours and washed in clean water to remove any remaining mucilage.

Parchment is soaked for 12 hours and then transferred to raised beds where it sundries for 10 to 15 days.

As it dries, coffee is turned regularly to ensure even drying.
