East Timor sits between Australia and Indonesia. It's Asia's youngest nation.
The coffee in this lot is grown at 1400–1900 masl. It comes from smallholder farmers across the Ermera district.
Harvest typically runs from June to September.
Timorese farmers face considerable logistical challenges, but they stick closely to production protocols and continue reviving their region's coffee culture.

Farmers hand-pick the harvest and deliver it to the station.
Workers sort out any underripe or damaged cherries.
The ripe cherries are spread in thin layers on African beds and sun-dried. They're turned periodically for even drying.
